BarrelList.sort() does not sort the list correctly

BarrelList.sort() does not sort the list correctly: a task in repo2rlenv-swe-smith (Harbor dataset). Calling .sort() on a BarrelList that spans multiple internal sublists produces an incorrect ordering. After sorting, bl 0 is not the minimum element and bl -1 is not the maximum element.
