The default `extra_args` added for operating on masks cause the underlying `torch.nn.functional.interpolate` to crash - bad combination of `interpolation` mode Resample.NEAREST and `align_corners=True`. Interpolate wants to not be set (None) when using nearest neighbour interpolation:
