ASV currently supports virtualenv, conda, and mamba environment types for creating isolated benchmark environments. py-rattler (https://pypi.org/project/py-rattler/) offers a faster alternative to conda/mamba and, unlike virtualenv, can install a specific Python version without relying on the system Python.
