AWS Lambda functions running on Managed Instances can process multiple events concurrently. When the function is configured for higher concurrency, AWS sets the `AWS_LAMBDA_MAX_CONCURRENCY` environment variable to the number of events that should be handled simultaneously within a single execution environment.
