The task

When `dbus-monitor` is launched with custom match rules it unconditionally prepends `eavesdrop=true` to every rule. The broker then receives these rules via the `BecomeMonitor()` method and rejects them with `org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.MatchRuleInvalid: "Invalid match rule"`. For example:
