The task
When a running Fluent Bit instance is reloaded (e.g., via the Hot_Reload mechanism), the reload process may block forever if the previous generation does not terminate cleanly. There is currently no timeout, so a stalled shutdown causes the reload to hang indefinitely, locking up the entire instance.
